Shanghai is my most favorite city in China. Since 2010, I moved to Shanghai from Beijing. I have lived in Shanghai for eight years. After these eight years, I think Shanghai is the best city in China.
And there are 8 reasons:
1. Respecting the spirit of the contract
Shanghai has the best business environment in China, not only because of its coastal, riverside location, not only because it is the busiest transport hub in China, not only it the most significant financial center in mainland China but also because of the respecting the spirit of the contract.
2. The best metro system in
The Shanghai Metro system is the world’s most extensive rapid transit system by route length. There are 413 stations on 16 lines in Shanghai. On 16 October 2013, with the extension of Line 11 into Kunshan in Jiangsu province, Shanghai Metro became the first rapid transit system in China to provide cross-provincial service.
Wherever you go, there
3. There are so many pretty girls in Shanghai
A picture is worth a thousand words.
4. Shanghai is full of subculture diversity.
No matter you like cosplay, ACG, Lolita fashion, JK uniform, model building, garage kit, hip hop, Wotagei, Tattoo, you can find the same species in Shanghai.

5. Convenience stores in everywhere
According a report in 2017,There are 12193 convenience stores in Shanghai. FamilyMart, Lawson, KuaiKe (快客), Buddies (良友便利), KeDi (可的), C-Store, Guangming (光明), Alldays are the best known convenience store brands.
Wherever you go you will find a convenience store nearby, and sometimes there are three even four convenience stores just in one street corner. You don’t need to prepare anything when you walk
6. Best Japanese cuisine restaurants in China.
There are lots of Japanese like living in Shanghai. Gubei, Shanghai has the largest concentration of Japanese nationals in Mainland China. And there are also lots of Japanese live in other areas like Pudong new area.
Many Japanese cuisine restaurants are host by Japanese, cooked by Japanese, even served by the Japanese. And when you eat at these restaurants, you may hear more Japanese language than the Chinese language.

7. Even you are a homebody, you will not find any inconvenience.
At China’s large cities, delivery and take-out services are very flourishing. You can buy almost anything from online stores, and the merchandise you buy will be received by delivery services very quickly.
And now in China, a lot of take-out services not only deliver foods, and they even provide small goods from convenience stores. You can buy a bottle of Coke, a piece of chocolate, some batteries or anything you can buy from a convenience store at midnight, and the delivery boy will send them to you for just 20 or 30 minutes.
So sometime you can stay at home for a week don’t go out for anything.
8. Full of Opportunities and more open than other cities in China.
Shanghai is the most important financial center in mainland China. And Shanghai is the most important automobile production center in China. Now Tesla is building its new Gigafactory in Shanghai.
And the first free-trade zone in mainland China is Shanghai Free-Trade Zone, covers an area of 120.72 square kilometres.
Shanghai Free-Trade Zone is a free-trade zone in Shanghai, China. On 22 August 2013, the State Council approved the establishment of SFTZ. Officially launched on 29 September 2013 with the backing of Chinese PremierLi Keqiang, it is the first free-trade zone in mainland China
And there are Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park, Wujiaochang High-tech Industrial Park, Zizhu national Hi-Tech Industrial Park located in Shanghai.
So there are all kinds job and startup opportunities, talents from other place in China, and other countries they all come to shanghai follow their Shanghai dreams.
